SIA Security Guard / SIA Door Supervisor 

This course is designed for Security Guard / Door Supervisors  wishing to start work in the industry or already working in Licensed retail , and it satisfies the training and qualification criteria defined by local authority registration schemes. It is also a requirement to gain this award to apply for SIA Licence / Passport.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

There are no formal academic entry requirements, You need to be over 18 years of age and have a good understanding of written and spoken English. It is also a requirement of the course that formal proof of identification, proof of address & 2 Passport Size Photographs are needed.

Part 1 - Roles and responsibilities of Door Supervisors
~ How to comply with the law
~ Admission policies and procedures
~ Refusing entry
~ Searching and seizing articles
~ Drugs
~ Arrest
Part 2 - Conflict management for Door Supervisors including
~ How to manage conflict
~ How to resolve conflict and learn from it
~ The importance of self-awareness and acting proactively.

HOW WILL I BE ASSESSED?
The course is run over 4 sessions (usually 4 Saturdays x 7 1/2 hours).

Assessment is by 2 x 40 multi-choice question papers each of 1 hour.
