All businesses have a legal obligation to ensure that their employees are protected from harm in the workplace. As a result, this module has been designed to help make businesses aware of these obligations and provide an understanding of the basic principles of health and safety in the workplace.

In addition to helping employers fulfil their legal obligation, this module also promotes safe working and risk management cultures within the workplace and an increased awareness of essential workplace health and safety issues.
